There is something at Blackbird Caye Resort for everyone: Sunfish sailboats, kayaks, and more. You can be as busy as you like, learning to sail or slow down and read a book among the 166 acres that encompass the resort. You will hear no planes, no trains, no automobiles. You will relax to the sound of water lapping on the shore, birds singing in the morning and wonder why you don't indulge in trips like this more often.

At the foot of the 166-acre resort are the southern and main working docks, extending like fingers into the crystal Caribbean Sea. The southern dock is located in front of the seaside bar and is used for relaxing, swimming, sipping on your favorite drink, and late night stargazing. The main dock, with the dive and snorkel shop, is the natural hub of the resort. This is where you will board the boat for diving, snorkeling, fishing and leisure trips. When you look below the docks, you will see marine life such as tarpon, bonefish, barracuda, stingrays, nurse sharks and much, much more.

At the front of the main dock is a huge palapa style restaurant and lounge area. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, while dinner is served at your table with a choice of turf or surf. Your evening meal is complete with homemade dessert. Juices and water are available all day and appetizers are served before dinner.

Getting There:
Your vacation begins when you are greeted at the Belize International Airport for a 20-minute transfer to the marina where you will then board a 50-foot transfer vessel for the spectacular 32-mile trip to Blackbird Caye Resort. You will be weaving through coconut covered sand and mangrove islands, which will lead to the Belize Barrier Reef and then to the eastern side of Turneffe Atoll, home of Blackbird Caye Resort. The fast one-and-a-quarter hour trip is both exciting and scenic. When you arrive the excitement continues, although at a slower pace. At the resort there is something for everyone from sunfish sailboats, windsurfers, kayaks, canoes and more.

• Departure times from the Belize Princess Marina are between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Arrival flights must arrive at Belize International by 2:00PM
• Departure from the Island is at 8:00 am. Return flights on day of departure from resort should be no earlier than 1:00 pm
• From the marina it is approximately a 1 1/4 hour scenic boat ride to the Resort.

The resort sits on two miles of jungle and beach nestled among hundreds of coconut trees. Holds 36 guests based on double occupancy.All of Blackbird Caye Resort's private individual cabanas face the Caribbean Sea. The cabanas have private porches with chairs, hammock, an interior seating area, double or queen beds, a private bathroom with shower, hot water, air-conditioning, daily maid service and electricity that runs at 110 volts, 24-hours a day.

CHILDREN POLICY:
Children under 7 years of age stay free.
Children from 7 to 11 years old pay half of the adult rate, sharing the room with parents. One child per room allowed.
No discounts for certified divers under age of 12.
Baby sitting is available upon request with advance notice (fee paid at resort) .
