Thanks for the offer to provide feedback. We had a terrific experience in Belize. The trip down worked ok, except for the wait time at the airport. Took 20 hours from Boise to Belize. About eight hours flight time. Once we got there we were met with a local rep who gave us a place to wait on the driver for Lamanai. This was the only glitch in our trip, and we can remedy it next time. She took all our travel and hotel vouchers, presumably to arrange drivers, etc. When it came time to proceed to the next hotel from Lamanai, we were in the dark, and the Lamanai staff was puzzled about how to help arrange our departure. The young lady at the desk stepped up and made phone calls until she had all the info we needed for the rest of the trip. She assembled it in a folder, with phone numbers, and we were on our way. The Lamanai Outpost Lodge, staff, food, and guides were outstanding. A great experience which we hope to do again.
We were glad for the lengthy drives between destinations as we wanted to get acquainted with Belize. Your itinerary and arrangements fit us perfectly. St. Ignacio Hotel was first class. We especially enjoyed the birding near the hotel. We toured Caracol Temple Ruins rather than Tikal, again to see and get acquined with Belize. The Inn at Roberts Grove was very nice and we enjoyed the beach local. Next time we will look for a little different setting where snorkling is convenient, as well as perhaps some restaurant optons. We just were not certain what to request as we helped describe our interests to your staff. We were able to tour the Jaguar Reserve and do the boat tour up the Monkey River...both of which we outstanding and met our `get aquainted` objective.
Overall, the five guides and two drivers were very knowledgeable and personable. Couldn`t have asked for more. The trip more than met our expectations. We were thrilled with the visit and, yes, we are telling our friends about your service. We are especially appreciative of Rosemarie on your staff who did an outstanding job of lining up this trip on short notice as well as keeping us informed continually. Thank you!
