San Ignacio - Placencia

Our vacation was very nice. We stayed at Windy Hills resort which was very well maintained, quiet, very very friendly staff. They offered tours through the resort however if the minimum number of people dont sign up they dont hold that tour. We missed out on cave tubing and zip lining in San Ignacio for that reason. (at the time it seemed there were only 3 or 4 couples total staying in the resort)The front desk neglectd to tell us that we could find another tour company in the town. The staff that transported us from Belize city to San Ignacio and from San Ignacio to Placencia were fabulous. Very interesting to hear all the history they know. The Inn at Roberts Grove was beautiful. An absolute paradise. The front desk staff person from tuesday to wendsday was not nice but all the rest of the staff were very pleasant. The drinks were over priced and the restaurant food was just ok. Good location though close to town and airport with lots of things to do right from the resort like kayaking, tours, hanging out on the pier. It would have been helpful prior to our leaving to have had more knowledge on tipping ettiquette for all the tours, taxis, bellhops etc. Thank you Brenda H. for all your help to make booking this honeymoon easy.
