Ariau Amazon Towers is the first tree top lodge in the entire Amazon region. The Towers are located 60 Km west of Manaus, at the source of the Anavilhanas Archipelago - the biggest sweet water archipelago of the world. Inaugurated in 1987, it is constructed of regional hardwood and is built on stilts so that the canopy of the rainforest surrounds guests where the beauty of the forest is best experienced. Ariau is a 'five star hotel' in the middle of the jungle. There are 7 towers linked by long and high cathwalks (all about 30 feet high, at the canopy level) for the Resort.
