Highlights

The lodge is very pleasant and meticulously clean with charming decorative touches. This lodge is ideal for travelers interested in ecological preservation and rustic accommodations and should be excluded for luxury tourism as it does not have hot water, air conditioning or TV and its generator is turned off throughout the evening.Built on stilts with materials indigenous to the area, this lodge is very respectful of nature and its surroundings. The lodge is situated within one of the most stunning locales of the Amazon, about 3 hours by boat from Manaus. As the river's water is not dark, it is also a wonderful option for fishing trips during the dry months between August and December. All their excursions will give you a real feeling of what the Amazon is all about.

General facility

The Juma Lodge has only 16 bungalows, with its construction totally integrated to the Amazon Rainforest. The lodge was built on solid ground and is supported on stilts. This type of construction is necessary due to the flood season, when the river water level rises up to 15 meters (40 feet).

TOURIST VISA REQUIRED FOR U.S. CITIZENS VISITING BRAZIL. VISAS MUST BE OBTAINED IN ADVANCED FROM THE BRAZILIAN CONSULATE.

Room facility

The lodge has 16 comfortable bungalows with screened windows, pleasant typical decorations, private bathrooms, fans and an optional mini-bar. For calm reading there are hammocks in each balcony.
