Trip Summary
1 nights in San Jose City

San Jose is Costa Rica's capitol city, and the central nervous system of the country, serving as both a destination unto itself, and as a covenient base of operations for visitors to its other spectacular locations and natural wonders.

Home to nearly two thirds of the country's total population, San Jose is blessed with year round spring-like weather conditions, with average temperatures of around 70°F. Day trips can easily be arranged to spectacular attractions, like the Arenal and Irazu volcanoes, as well as full range of inner city cultural activities like visits to the the San Jose Art Mueum, the Jade Museum, and the Museum of Gold. San Jose has great accommodations to compliment any budget, and our customizable itineraries allow you to link it with the rest of Costa Rica's fabulous destinations.
2 nights in Arenal Volcano

Towering over the rest of the countryside at 5,437 feet, its stunning symmetrical shape, fiery eruptions, and wide range of outdoor activities have made Arenal Volcano one of Costa Rica's must see destinations.

Enjoy hiking, canopy tours, horseback riding, or a dip in the exquisite serenety of the Tabacon Hot Springs.

Our customizable itinteraries allow you to combine Arenal with Costa Rica's other exciting destinations, choose from excellent accommodations with spectacular views, and modify length of stay, transportation options, and planned activities.
2 nights in Monteverde Cloud Forest

The Monteverde Cloud Forest is one of the most extraordinary and important nature reserves in the world. With thousands of species of animals, birds, and plants, including over 300 types of orchids alone, this fantasy land for nature lovers covers more than 26,000 acres that supports a massive diversity of plant and animal life, and an inexhaustible variety of outdoor activities.

We recommend at least two nights here, but you'll be able to customize your stay, choice of handpicked hotels, transportation options and even planned activities in the booking process. And Monteverde Cloud Forest can be linked with many of Costa Ricas other great locatioons and natural wonders.
3 nights in Guanacaste Beaches

Located along Costa Rica's northwestern Pacific coastline, Guanacaste Province boasts 100 miles of exquisite beaches with accommodations ranging from full service resorts with golf, tennis and fitness clubs, to hideaway boutiques where lush gardens and the sound of the surf are the major attractions.

The climate throughout this region is hot and dry for from December through April, but even during the rainy season a short shower will frequently give way to clear skies and glorious sunshine.

We recommend at least 3 nights in the Guanacaste Beaches, and our customizable itineraries allow you to combine Arenal with Costa Rica's other exciting destinations, choose from excellent accommodations, and modify your length of stay, transportation options, and planned activities.

Our vacation was wonderful. We got a transfer to Adobe to pick up the car. The person who helped me was very well informed and helpful. He answered the questions I had. We stayed at the Aurola Holiday Inn in San Jose at the beginning and end of my trip. One of the workers there was excellent - he remembered us from our first stay. We then drove to Arenal Springs Resort and Spa - this was my second choice in lodging, but it was very nice. Yes, there were ants, but not many and it is what it is. I was pleased with the accommodations and the service at the hotel. Everyone there was great. Dinner was long (service was somewhat slow), but it was nice to sit and talk, it wasn`t as if we had anything to do. We then drove to Belmar Hotel in Monteverde. Wow, the roads. But, no trouble with the GPS, just bumpy, and we were on vacation. No worries. I had a message that someone from your company called, and I was called back later that day. We had a fruit plate in the room, very nice. The room, service, and hotel was lovely. We stayed in main building - Peninsula. We drove to Bosque del Mar at Playa Hermoso. The clerk at check in seemed a bit brusque, but was thorough. The only drawback for this hotel was that some of the tile was very slippery when wet and it could a potential hazard. The waitstaff there were excellent. And the steak was awesome. I also had a phone call from someone in your office to check up on us and make sure everything was going well. The food at all of the places we stayed was very good. We did not actually eat out of the hotels at all, even though I had a list of some other places. The tours that we did take - Danaus Ecocenter - wonderful. Hanging bridges - would have been better with a guide. We stopped at the Arenal Volcano National Park. Don Juan coffee tour was great, and the tour of the Monteverde Cloud Forest - lots of orchids to be seen. I was supposed to go horseback riding while at Playa Hermosa, but it rained quite a bit, and didn`t go for the safety of the horses. I had a great time, it was very relaxing and beautiful. I would love to have stayed. I will definitely be coming back, if not to CR, to Nicaragua - a couple dropping off their car flew in there and out of CR. Thanks for the easy booking and help. Jennifer, West Palm Beach, FL

We had a great time. It was exactly what we needed. From my perspective you did a great job describing the places and what we would expect. The hotels were as expected and described. The Presidente was good, hard to find, but good. You did warn us about street signs and I am thankful that we had a GPS! Mountain Paradise was fabulous. We had a great time in Arenal. I don`t recall, but I don`t think there was a lot to choose from in Monteverde. The Monteverde Lodge was ok, but if I were to do it again, I would probably spend another day in Arenal and skip Monteverde. It was a long and rough ride from Arenal to Monteverde and it just didn`t seem worth it. The walk through the hanging bridges and volcano area in Arenal were very similar to the Monteverde Biological Park. Besides the Park, there wasn`t much else there. Guanacaste was also great. The Riu was over the top grand in all ways - very opulent. I give you a green smiley face! I would book with you again and I would recommend your website to my friends. Diane, Wilmington, NC

We had an amazing vacation!! From the moment we stepped off our flight we were greeted and directed to our rental car agency, which was staffed with very friendly and helpful guys who got us on our way to our first hotel. We declined the GPS for a little extra adventure and suprisingly did fairly well with our navigation despite our poor Spanish and the country`s few road signs. Once we found our way to our hotels all of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the 2 prebooked tours we had were awesome. We booked the Cano Negro Refugee Wildlife Boat Tour, a must see if traveling to the Arenal Volcano area!!! Our tour guide Froy was great and really knowledgable about the animals and area!! The second tour was the Sky Walk in the Monteverde Cloud Forest (guided by Freddie), was also great, especially with a 5yr old, he absolutely loved them both!! Our last stop was Playa Hermosa, which was a nice bit of relaxation to end the trip. My only complaint was the experience at the Liberia airport, which I know is completely beyond your website domain, but overall my booking/trip experience from start to finish with you guys was awesome and I would 150% recommend you guys to friends and family and will definitely use again myself if/when planning a trip to that part of the world!!!!!!! Thank you so much for my family`s most memorable vacation yet!!!!!!

Our Trip was perfect!! Truly the best trip EVER! We were met at the airport by your local representative and she was very nice and hooked us up with the shuttle to the Car Rental company. We had a reservation for a SUV Compact which when we saw it realized that it would be too small for us and our long legged children. So we upgraded to a regular size SUV - A Toyota Rav4.- Which was perfect! Our first hotel was Corteza Amarilla Art Lodge Spa in San Jose. We loved the hotel. It was a great experience with it`s wonderful eclectic decor. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms were big! The only complaint might be that the rooms were a little stuffy smelling. Our second hotel was Hotel Arenal Springs Resort and Spa. We had wonderful rooms that were large and had amazing views of the volcano. Each room had a little patio with two rockers. The grounds were very nice. The pool was nice. They were constructing hot spring pools that looked like they will be incredible when they are finished! Our third hotel was Fonda Vela in Monteverde. We loved the rustic ambiance of this hotel. The pool area was very nice. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful! final hotel that was booked through your website was Hotel Bosque del Mar Playa Hermosa. Must say I was a little nervous as I had read some not so great reviews about the service and food at this hotel. I am happy to say it was fabulous!! The food was great and the service was prompt. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful! The rooms were terrific!!! Huge with separate seating and sleeping areas. Because of Hurricane Irene we had to extend our stay because of our flight from Miami to Boston being canceled. Therefore we decided to extended out trip in Costa Rica for an extra five days rather than Miami. Our trip was fabulous due to the careful planning of Brenda Herrera!! She was awesome!! She dealt with my many questions with a positive caring attitude. Loved working with her! Thank you!!

Our vacation was wonderful. I was impressed with the places we stayed. El Presidente in San Jose upgraded us to a lovely suite. Both the El Sapo Dorado and Casa Luna Lodge were both lovely and the people could not have been nicer. I was impressed that someone from the local agency was checking on us and making sure we made it to each hotel. Our only negative experience was at the Tamarindo Beach Resort where they had booked a private party for the pool area and closed to pool to all the resort guests for ten hours and played loud music until 1:00 am. We were not the only people who were very unhappy with the situation and the lack of response from the hotel management. This obviously was no reflection on your website. This was our first experience with a planned vacation like this and felt it offered us the security of excellent lodging and the freedom to explore Costa Rica. We have already told many family and many friends about how pleased we were with our experience with your website and your local provider. Keep up the excellent service!

Had a wonderful time. Costa Rica was beautiful. I was very pleased with your service. Transfers were all right on time, drivers tried very hard to please. We were a little disappointed in the hotel at Tamarindo. The Jardin del eden. It was ideally located. The hotel is showing quite a bit of wear, mattress on bed was wore out, but we did not see another hotel that looked like a better fit. I would highly recommend your service to anyone.

Our vacation was completely wonderful! The hotels, transportation and transfers were excellent. We particularly loved the Lost Iquana and Hermosa Bosque del Mar. We would definitely stay at these again. They were beautiful and the staff so nice and helpful. El Establo and Presidente were just fine, but we did not enjoy San Jose and Monteverde quite as much as Arenal and Guanacaste. We loved Arenal and Guanacaste. All of the scheduled pickups and the drivers were prompt and courteous - really professional and nice. We particularly appreciated the reminder calls the night before transfers and the welcome call and packet when we arrived in San Jose. The trip went smoothly from start to finish. We give you an A+ for coordinating our vacation and making it a wonderful, worry-free experience. Thank you very much. We would definitely consider using your services again and would highly recommend you to family and friends. Feel free to use our feedback with other potential clients.
