Tortuguero National Park
Tortuguero is one of the most visited National Parks in Costa Rica, and hosts more than 170 species of reptiles/amphibians, 375 species of birds, 125 types of mammals, and literally thousands of different trees and plants. There are no roads leading here, so visitors arrive either by boat or plane, which has helped to preserve the area's pristine environment, and eco-systems. Tortuguero's shoreline is also one of the world's most important nesting sanctuaries for Sea Turtles.
Accommodations here are rustic, but extremely comfortable jungle lodges that are designed to enhance the natural environment.
Visitors to Tortugero National Park, leave behind modern distractions, and experiencing the grandeur of our planet's fascinating, and rapidly disappearing natural treasures.
