Arenas del Mar is an ocean view beach and nature resort with a strong commitment to the surrounding nature and local community. It has 38 upscale rooms and suites, offering a casual beach front cafe and an elegant dining facility with spectacular views of the National Park as well as two swimming pools, a small Spa and a gift shop.

Arenas del Mar features two restaurants located next to the two pools of the hotel. One is the formal restaurant El Mirador serving breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the Manuel Antonio National Park. The concept is fusion combining the great variety of vegetables, fruits, sea foods and meats with international spices and touches.
The other restaurant Playita is more informal and serves lunch and snacks next to the resort's private beach. The focus is on simple foods that are kicked up a notch such as wraps and cold sandwiches with typical Costa Rican flavors with a twist.

Arenas del Mar seeks to demonstrate that the combination of a world class resort in terms of quality of facilities and services can be successfully combined with the highest levels of sustainability using the Costa Rican Certification for Sustainable Tourism as a model.

The hotel uses solar heating panels coupled with super efficient energy saving auxiliary water heaters, underground electrical system, coppe silver ionization systems to clean the pool water, energy efficient bulbs, and a complex but efficient recycling program including the use of waste water treatment plant which require no leech lines, solar drying areas and low wattage high efficiency lighting to protect the fauna and the use of fossil fuels. Only electric cars will permitted on the property to avoid noise contamination. The roof tiles are actually recycled plastic that are made from discarded plastic bags from the banana industry.

Arenas del Mar Beach and Nature Resort has 38 guest rooms including ocean view apartments with two bedrooms and three full bathrooms. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, air conditioning, cable television, high speed internet access, mini-bar, safe deposit box, coffee maker, microwave and irons. All guest rooms offer spectacular views of the Manuel Antonio National Park, the Pacific Ocean and the tropical rainforest.
