Trip Summary
4 nights in Ambergris Caye

Ambergris Caye (pronounced key) is the largest of Belize's nearly 200 offshore coral sand islets and atolls, and the most popular destination in Belize, primarily because of its proximity to the largest coral reef in the western hemisphere, the Belize Barrier Reef, and the extraordinary underwater activities and attractions available here.

Accessible by commuter plane in 15-20 minutes, or by water taxi in an hour, Ambergris Caye, is a premiere destination for underwater, snorle;ing, and fishing devotees, and the super relaxed nearby town of San Pedro, is the perfect place to relax and discuss the day's adventures under gently swaying palms.

Ambergris Caye can be linked with other great Belizean destinations, and our flexible itineraries can be customized to modify the length of your stay, your hotel choices, transport options, and planned activities.
2 nights in Flores - Tikal

The Peten is an area of exuberant tropical jungles teeming with wildlife, deep forests and dry plains dotted with lakes and Maya cities. There are three reasons why travelers would want to penetrate the forests of El Peten: first to visit Tikal, the greatest Maya religious center yet discovered; second to enjoy the great variety of birdlife; and third to see the Guatemala of small farming villages and jungle hamlets, without paved roads or colonial architecture.
1 nights in Guatemala City

The capital of Guatemala is the largest city in Central America. Founded in 1776, the city is a blend of modern sleek glass skyscrapers and colonial architecture. Its main tourist attraction is the Historic Center where you will find the Central Market, the National Palace, and colonial churches dating from the 17th century. The Ixchel museum is worth a visit. The tourist area is known as Zona Viva and includes most of the fancy hotels, restaurants, shops, and nightlife spots.

Belize

Belize is blessed with 180 miles of magnificent coastline, a warm tropical climate, glistening white sand beaches, and an abundance of natural, and historical wonders. It is also home to the longest coral reef in the western hemisphere, and its gorgeous island cayes, jungle rainforests, extensive wildlfe habitats, and well preserved Mayan ruins have made this tiny nation one of Central America's hottest destinations.

Design a customized itinerary that lets you experience the best of Belize, at the lowest possible real time prices: see how...

Guatemala

Guatemala is a magical country in the Mayan heartland of Central America. Indigenous Guatemalan culture is alive and well in the ancient ruins of Tikal, the Mayan/Catholic rituals and open market of Chichicastenango, and the blazing colors of everyday Mayan dress. The colonial town of Antigua, and Lake Atitlan, viewed by many as the most beautiful lake in the world, are two destinations guaranteed to enlighten the soul.

This was the second time we used Latin Destination - both times a great experience. Super smooth transfers, great hotels, always on time, always courteous, we felt very well taken care of. Have been recommending your services to all our friends and family. The ease and level of customization are unbeatable - nice work. Thank you for an excellent vacation! Sean P. San Francisco, CA

My wife and I had a wonderful time on our recent honeymoon that was booked entirely through your website! We traveled through Belize and Guatemala and were met with excellent service everywhere we went! All three hotels we stayed in were very nice and we had very courteous private drivers waiting for us at each new stop along the way. We would recommend your website to all of our friends and who knows, we may even book another trip through this website in the future.

We had a great time. All of the transfers went very smoothly and the guides were all very knowledgeable and kind. We loved it!

Vacation was fantastic. All transfers were on time and very comfortable and drivers were all pleasant and very helpful. The only slight hitch was at the Guatemala-Belize border where we had a little trouble finding our driver. He was looking for 2 people, but there were 4 of us that were then going to split and go to different destinations at that point. Not a big deal - it may have been helpful for him to have had a card with our names on it so we would have found him sooner. All the hotels were excellent and exactly what we were looking for. We are and will continue to recommend your services.

The belize hotel was nice, simple, service was perfect, on the beach, the Flores one was really cool, unique, nice set up, although the restaurant was below average., the Guatemala city hotel was run down but the service was excellent. The transfers were first class, more than I probably needed but excellent.

Our trip went off without a hitch (except for one canceled flight which was not the fault of your website). The actual trip more than lived up to what we set up on-line.I plan on recommending this site to anybody that isplanning a trip in Central/south America, and I plan on using the site again for a trip to Argentina. Thanks!

We are seasoned travelers, and pride ourselves on being able to do everything smarter and cheaper. Not this time: We still can`t figure out how you pulled together our customized trip to Belize, Tikal and Antigua at such a great price. Travel agent was TERRIFIC! We appreciate your quick response in making alternative travel arrangements when our flight from Belize to Tikal was cancelled. We also learned from other travelers how lucky we were to be able to stay at the stunning Casa Santo Domingo in Antigua-- an impossible reservation without the help of Latin Destinations.

The service was excellent. When we arrived in Belize City an agent was at the airport waiting for us. She took us through the line and gave us our boarding passes and information for our additional flights. The hotel in Ambergris Caye was clean and the staff was very nice. Clark Tours was waiting for us in Flores and took us to La Lancha. Also excellent service! Great hotel and service. The guide/trip to Tikal was impressive. The guide was very informative. We were extremely pleased with the service and will use you for future travel plans. Thanks!

We had a wonderful trip and will definitely recommend you to friends and fellow-travelers. We were admittedly nervous at the start, having never traveled to Central America before and lacking even a rudimentary understanding of Spanish. Our fears were instantly allayed, however, when friendly tour reps met us at the airport to help us make transfer flights and get through customs. Throughout the trip, accommodations were all clean, comfortable and service-oriented and transfer flights got us to our destinations without incident. (Well, maybe a little heart-pounding turbulence, but nothing serious.) Belize and Guatemala were absolutely breathtaking and the people were warm and welcoming. We plan to return to Central America after we both gain a grasp of basic Spanish conversation. Your services are much appreciated. Thank you for helping to make our vacation one of the best yet.
