3 - Roatan Island Stay We had a wonderful time in Roatan, Honduras.The resort, Las Rocas, was exactly what we wanted, quiet, clean, a little off the beaten path.The food and service was excellent.When we requested a flight change with Taca that also went smoothly.Thanks again for a great memorable trip.We would do it again.

4 - Roatan Island Stay

I recently took a vacation to Roatan, Honduras and it was fantastic!The booking process was easy, the hotel transfers punctual and hotel stay without a hitch. The hotel, Las Rocas, is cozy, clean, comfortable, well maintained and perfect for what I was looking for. The breakfast, which was included with our stay was tasty and filling. The sea water pool was fun. The staff is friendly and willing to help in any way the can. It was very easy to arrange for day trips and activities through the hotel office. There is also a dive shop on the premises. I went for the purpose of getting the open water PADI certification and it was great.The instructors were experienced, well trained, helpful, patient and I felt very safe throughout my course. The reefs and sea life were spectacular.I would recommend Roatan and Las Rocas to any of my friends and family members.

5 - Roatan Island Stay

Our trip to roatan was so much fun, we didn`t want to leave.
The flights were on schedule, although our seats were always at the back of the plane.
The transfers between the airport and resort were comfortable.

The Mayan Princess was absolutely gorgeous. We had a huge poolside room that had a nice design to it. The pool and beach there were breathtaking and the staff was very nice.
The restaurant there, the caliente bar & restaurant, is priced a bit more than other restaurants and the food wasn`t necessarily any better. The wait staff was very friendly (especially mario, who was extremely well spoken and polite!).

Mayan divers, the in-house dive shop at the resort, is new and run quite well by anja and liber. They have a good boat and always have fresh fruits and water on board.

One afternoon, we went to gumbalimba park and did a zip line canopy tour through the park - lots of fun!
then we went through the park, learned more about the history of the bay islands, and played with monkeys and macaws.

Traveling to the west end, which has more restaurants but no beach, was pretty easy from west bay. Water taxis run during the day (about $2/person) and taxis take you there and back in the evenings (about $15/roundtrip.. the driver waits for you!).

There was one brown-out while we were there. We were told the power would be restored by 7pm, but it didn`t come back till after midnight. We were given candles and matches in the meantime.

Overall, the trip was amazing and we`re figuring out when we`d go back next. I`ll be sure to see what Latin Destinations has to offer then.

I`d definitely recommend your company, the resort, dive shop, and location to anyone... and I already have!
