Guatemala

Guatemala is a magical country in the Mayan heartland of Central America. Indigenous Guatemalan culture is alive and well in the ancient ruins of Tikal, the Mayan/Catholic rituals and open market of Chichicastenango, and the blazing colors of everyday Mayan dress. The colonial town of Antigua, and Lake Atitlan, viewed by many as the most beautiful lake in the world, are two destinations guaranteed to enlighten the soul.

We really appreciate the great package deal we got on flights and hotel through you! We checked rates first for flights and hotel separately on other websites but your offer was much more competitive. The flights went without problems and we enjoyed the hotel, which we had stayed at before as well. We noticed no negative changes after the Marriott to Barcelo change.

We will definitely be recommending your website and services. Everything on our trip went according to plan and we saved a lot of money booking our hotel through you. Many people on our trip mentioned paying much more for the same hotel, we made sure to mention your website so they could save the next time! Thank you and we will be using you again!

Our Guatemala vacation was great. This was the second trip we have booked on LatinDestinations.com this year. The hotel was great. This was probably one of the most beautiful hotels architecturally I have ever stayed in. We had a tough time deciding between the Quinta Real or the Westin. I think we made the right choice, but we drove by the Westin and it was within walking distance of restaurants and shops which would have been nice. We ate at the restaurant in the Quinta Real for breakfast and dinner and the food and service was superb. We did have problems with American Airlines. We were supposed to depart Thursday August 30th at 5:45, but the flight was cancelled due to ?weather?. We did not leave until the following day at 5:45 so we missed the first day of our vacation. American Airlines used weather as an excuse to not have to give us any credit for the delay and I have written them a complaint. When our flight was cancelled, I contacted Latin Destinations and our agent contacted the hotel to let them know of our late arrival. We changed our return flight to leave a day later so we did not loose a day in Guatemala so the only thing we had to pay was for the additional night at the Quinta Real. During our stay, we had the opportunity to visit Antigua and Lake Atitlan. We found both side trips very interesting and the sites were amazing. Our only regret was not seeing Tikal, but there just was not enough time. We enjoyed both our trips to Ecuador and Guatemala that we booked with you this year and we will definitely be booking with you again soon. Lookout Peru? here we come!

Your website was wonderful. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Having the transfers already arranged was very helpful. We also have to really compliment the staff at the Biltmore. Everyone there was extremely helpful and went "above and beyond" when we needed some extra assistance. We loved Guatemala and were delighted with our trip. Thank you very much!
