Trip Summary
2 nights in Panama City - Canal

Panama City is a delightful combination of the historic and the modern, in one of Latin America's most beautiful and cosmopolitan cities, and for travelers wanting to escape to warm tropical shores, there is no hotter destination. Known to many a the home of the Panama Canal, this exhilarating is just a stone's throw from some of some Central America's richest rain forests, and complex eco systems.

Panama City has long been known as an international crossroads, given its position as one the, if not the Latin capital of international finance, which has helped to make it extremely welcoming towards visitors, and although it is broken into numerous neighborhoods or "corregimientos" there are really the equivalent of Three Cities here that are historically, architecturally, in some ways culturally distinct. There is the modern city with the huge skyscrapers housing many of financial institutions that make their home here, the Colonial-era "Casco Viejo" and "Panama Viejo" with the remnants of the original colonial city, the first in the Americas on the Pacific coast.

Panama is a relatively small country, approximately the size of South Carolina, which means that many of its most exciting attractions are within driving distance which makes Panama City-Canal the perfect base of operations for a wide variety of daytrips or as a hub for, multi-night stays in other great Panamanian destinations. With great tours of the Canal, the Old Cities, canopy adventures, trips to indigenous villages, excursions to some of Central Americas most beautiful and bio rich national parks. World class hotels, restaurants, shopping, and spectacular night life has made this a one of Latin America?s most popular cities with international travelers for business and pleasure, and a city that regularly surpasses visitors expectations.

Panama City can easily be linked with other exquisite beach, dive, cultural and eco destinations both in Panama, and throughout Latin America.

Hello! We had a fabulous time on our vacation to Panama. Everyone from you website was very helpful and friendly - from getting everything sorted out before leaving for vacation, to each and every transfer representative taking us from one place to the next. I enjoyed having all transportation included in the trip, so as to make the vacation go very smoothly and we were able to relaxing without having to worry about how to get from one place to the next. The website was very easy to work though, and speaking with the representatives on the phone was helpful and informative, as they answered all our questions. We stayed at Gamboa Rainforest Resort, Punta Caracol Aqua Lodge, and Radisson Summit while vacationing in Panama and loved each and everyone of them. I would highly recommend these to anyone interested. The staff were friendly and welcoming and gave us a wonderful visit. I would definitely use your website again in the future for planning trips, as well as refer it to everyone! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Christine, Leola, PA

Maria and I booked our trip to Panama with your site around July of 2010 for travel in September. We were surprised to learn that we could customize our own trip and asked one of your agents to help us put one together. The trip that your agent put together for us was perfect and the price was excellent. I checked quite a few other sites and none of them could customize our trip to our liking, and all were more expensive. We flew often during our trip and were delighted to always find a driver waiting at the airports, and even a boat waiting for us on our visit to Bocas De Toro. Not once were we left waiting, and on one occasion decided to offer a ride to another couple that had been waiting for their ride to their hotel booked on another site. They had been waiting for an hour and were quite disappointed with their travel agent. The hotels we stayed at in Panama were exactly as advertised on your site and again, had all the necessary details for our stay. Our room was even upgraded to a suite at one of our hotels without asking. Needless to say, we had a wonderful vacation and will absolutely book with your website again. I just wish there was enough room for us to attach the over 600 pictures we took during our 10 days there. We were smiling in all of them :-)
