Trip Summary
2 nights in Buenos Aires
Built in the image of the great European cities, Buenos Aires is Argentina's cultural epicenter, known for its music and dance, its cuisine, fine wines, and vibrant night life. Although it has retained much of its Colonial European influence the design and architecture in Bueno Aires reflects influences not only from Spain, but in many cases Paris, Rome and other Euro capitals as well.
Buenos Aires is divided into neighborhoods or barrios, each with its own personality and unique flavor, and cafes, tango bars, clubs, restaurants, museums, and great shopping will make any visit to Buenos Aires fly by.
So whether you are headed from here to the splendor of Patagonia, the wine region, or the majesty of Iguazu Falls, Buenos Aires is a city that will remain in your memory long after the last tango has ended.
2 nights in El Calafate - Lago Argentino
El Calafate is the portal for Los Glaciers National Park, the spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier and the massive Upsala formation. It is also, a requisite stop for those traveling on to Argentina's hiking and climbing mecca, El Chalten and Mount Fitz Roy, a four hour drive to the north.
This town of nearly 8,000 offers a full range of services and resources for travelers, including fine accommodations and commercial flights to Bariloche, Ushuaia and Buenos Aires.
El Calafate a key component for most Patagonian odysseys, and particularly popular with adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.
2 nights in Ushuaia - Tierra del Fuego
Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world, and along with the spectacular Tierra del Fuego is one of the most interesting and compelling destinations in Argentina. Ushuaia is a portal, not only for Tierra del Fuego, but also for the nearby Martial Mountains, and Antarctica. And it serves as a picturesque base of operations for hikers, climbers, skiers and eco-tourists drawn by the gorgeous scenery, varying terrain, and abundant wildlife.
Most visitors here ride on the 'Train to The End Of The World', a one of a kind trip to Tierra del Fuego National Park, on a small steam engine powered train with stunning panoramic views.
Accommodations here combine the exquisite landscapes with comfort and service, some with spas and health clubs, while other more rustic properties feature beautiful remote locations that accentuate the harmony of the unspoiled natural environment, and
keep in mind that Ushuaia has up to 18 hours of daylight during the summer months, but very little during the winter, so plan accordingly.
2 nights in Puerto Madryn - Peninsula Valdes
Founded by Welsh immigrants in 1865, Puerto Madryn is located on the tranquil shores of the Golfo Nuevo, in the shadow of the extraordinary Peninsula Valdes, one of the most important marine mammal, and bird habitats in the entire southern hemisphere, and the area's most popular destinations.
This is an exceptional opportunity to observe some of the world's most fascinating animals both in the unusually clear waters, and on the shores of this exceptionally pristine environment.
Puerto Madryn has a wide range of comfortable accommodations, many with spa and health club services, Or immerse yourself in the unspoiled environment, at an all inclusive estancia in the heart of Peninsula Valdes. Either way Puerto Madryn-Peninsula Valdes will be a sensational experience, and a perfect component in a memorable Argentinean vacation.

Everything worked like clockwork and we had the most amazing time, thank you.
All the guides were knowledgeable, language proficient, personable and on time always. They made us feel so relaxed and we ended up just trusting them completely because every time it all worked.
The hotels were excellent to good, particularly the Tierra de Leyandas Butique hotel in Ushuaia. We would put that hotel at the top of our list as being the best, followed by the Hosteria Posta Sur in El Calafate. The hotel La Posada in Puerto Madryn in contrast is a bit tired and too far from town though the staff are kind and the hotel garden has charm.
All the sightseeing trips were excellent and the tour companies very professional. The meals provided when ordered are at times just too much though delicious.
The only part of the trip we think is a waste of time is the welsh tea room near Trelew - definitely not value for money and the cakes were not fresh.
The airlines were on time and excellent though we would have preferred not having to spend so long back in El Calafate as a stop over from Ushuaia to Puerto Madryn.
Overall - a very good trip and we found it easy to make our choices from the website and were pleased with the service provided by April Stiles, whose advice on final details was spot on. We particularly appreciated the service since we live in Australia and there were time differences to overcome in communicating. We were very pleased with the security provided for all the financial transactions.
Thank you all for helping to make our holiday so special and unforgettable.
