Trip Summary
2 nights in Panama City - Canal

Panama City is a delightful combination of the historic and the modern, in one of Latin America's most beautiful and cosmopolitan cities, and for travelers wanting to escape to warm tropical shores, there is no hotter destination. Known to many a the home of the Panama Canal, this exhilarating is just a stone's throw from some of some Central America's richest rain forests, and complex eco systems.

Panama City has long been known as an international crossroads, given its position as one the, if not the Latin capital of international finance, which has helped to make it extremely welcoming towards visitors, and although it is broken into numerous neighborhoods or "corregimientos" there are really the equivalent of Three Cities here that are historically, architecturally, in some ways culturally distinct. There is the modern city with the huge skyscrapers housing many of financial institutions that make their home here, the Colonial-era "Casco Viejo" and "Panama Viejo" with the remnants of the original colonial city, the first in the Americas on the Pacific coast.

Panama is a relatively small country, approximately the size of South Carolina, which means that many of its most exciting attractions are within driving distance which makes Panama City-Canal the perfect base of operations for a wide variety of daytrips or as a hub for, multi-night stays in other great Panamanian destinations. With great tours of the Canal, the Old Cities, canopy adventures, trips to indigenous villages, excursions to some of Central Americas most beautiful and bio rich national parks. World class hotels, restaurants, shopping, and spectacular night life has made this a one of Latin America?s most popular cities with international travelers for business and pleasure, and a city that regularly surpasses visitors expectations.

Panama City can easily be linked with other exquisite beach, dive, cultural and eco destinations both in Panama, and throughout Latin America.

The trip was enjoyable. We used your website for hotels only, and all hotels were great, the Boquete Garden Inn was really beautiful and the best. Thank you, we will certainly recommend you to our friends and also use you when we go to Latin America next time. Sundar and Vijaya, Windermere, FL

Hello: I would like to say thank you! My vacation overall was very nice. I had never been to Panama and this made my trip much easier. It was nice to be taken from the airports, to the airports, and to the hotels at the same time having the freedom to do what I choose in between. The drivers were able to speak English, a few were extremely knowledgeable, and rather worldly. Several of the drivers were very considerate, to do follow-ups to see that we got to where we needed to be. I would especially say that Ernie/Ernesto was more than helpful, very knowledgeable, and very helpful (a wealth of information). The hotels were good, there were no real complaints there as we were there to see Panama, not stay in the Hotel. The attendants at the Hotels were as friendly and helpful as the drivers. I really could not say enough about this young man! Again, Thank you for a great vacation. I would highly recommend your service! Thank you!

This was an excellent trip. All of the transfers were perfect. The drivers were there at every stop with a large sign with my name. All of the vehicles were excellent. The flights to and from David were also good, as was the check-in. We stayed at the Intercontinental Miramar in Panama City. The room was nice, with a superb view. The staff was helpful with directions and arranged a superb 5 hour tour of the city and the Canal with a driver who we really liked. Restaurant suggestions were all top notch, and the breakfast was very good. We also enjoyed the pool. Room service also worked well, as they had a late night fruit platter which really helped because we arrived late in the evening. Los Establos in Boquete is also highly recommended. A beautiful setting, looking out to Volcan Baru, the highest point in Panama. We were in a suite, which was very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful, and the staff made us anything we requested. They also arranged for a coffee farm tour and bird watching. Our only complaint was that the local roosters woke us up early our first morning there. After that, we put the fan on so that we wouldn`t hear the roosters! The hotel lacked only a restaurant for dinner, which is coming soon (we had breakfast with the owner one morning). The hotel staff arranged taxis for us whenever needed. We highly recommend Los Establos. We returned to Gamboa and stayed 2 nights at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. Yet another lovely sight. We would have liked another day there, as we spent our only full day on a fantastic eco-tour of the Canal and Lake Gatun (which I very highly recommend). The spa was nice and the massage was wonderful. Our only complaint was that the food in the 2 restaurants in the main building was mediocre at best. I was extremely pleased with everything that was arranged through you. I am happy to give you a testimonial and you may certainly use my name, as I am a most satisfied customer. Your customer service was also very helpful in the booking process and in helping me to add things to the trip.
