General facility

Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel is a rustic boutique hotel in the heart of the Machu Picchu's Historic Sanctuary in the clouds forest. The Hotel has a small andean-town style in the hillside next to the train station; acces by foot through stone stairs may be troublesome to some visitors.

The bar, boutique and reception building are each decorated with Andean artifacts and fabrics. Some of the most charming attractions include the library, the display wall of pre-Columbian artifacts in the Mikhuna Wasi dining room, and the lounge's cozy fireplaces, as well as the Andean sauna: an igloo made of indigenous bamboo and fresh eucalyptus leaves.

Mikhuna Wasi or 'The House of Food' in Quechua is the main dining room of the hotel. The restaurant and its adjacent terraces were built as a large glass house with an exceptional view of the Urubamba River and the surrounding green mountains.

Located just a few meters from the Machu Picchu train station, Cafe Inkaterra Restaurant is a blend of Andean cuisine and architecture with a contemporary approach creating an innovative culinary concept.
