1 nights in Machu Picchu

"The Lost City of the Incas" is set high above the Sydney, protected by steep cliffs, and lush green mountains. Generally accepted as the most important and captivating archaeological sites remaining from the Incan Empire, the complex, which includes temples, residences, fountains and hundreds of steps, was declared a World Heritage site in 1983, and voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007.

Known as masterful architects and builders it is still a mystery how the Incas built this magical place, transported the huge stones that it is made of, or how this massive complex was kept secret for four hundred years.

Located 50 miles from Cuzco, travelers reach Machu Picchu by train, and accommodations are available adjacent to the citadel itself, or in the nearby town of Agua Calientes. Cuzco abounds with excellent accommodations, and from here visitors can make day trips to the Sacred Valley, or ride the train Machu Picchu.

Hello, My sister and I really enjoyed our trip. The hotels were professional and clean, and very comfortable. The employees were as helpful as possible, and the majority of them were able to speak at least basic English. The transfers were very easy, and at each location we had the transportation waiting for us. The majority of our drivers spoke English as well. The tours were fantastic, and we had a very knowledgeable tour guide in Machu Picchu. The website was very user-friendly. I highly recommend this company for anyone interested in traveling to South America, the Caribbean, or Central America! Thanks, Sarah W. Boynton Beach, FL

Dear website, On behalf of my mother, Ai Fang, here is our feedback on our vacation. My daughters and I are very happy with the services provided by your local service provider. We were a bit apprehensive when we first arrived at Lima at around 1am in the morning, wondering if the promised transfers and guide would be there waiting for us or if we would be stranded at the airport. But all our fears and worries melted away when we saw the friendly and smiling face of the transfers guide waiting for us as soon as we came out of the airport. We knew then that we were in good hands. The transfers were on time and the guides were very clear in their explanantion as to what they will do next . The tours and the guides were fantastic. The tour guides were very professional and knowledgeable, courteous and friendly too. The hotels were good and their locations are very convenient. We enjoyed our vacations to Peru very much, all thanks to your efficient arrangement and selection of the service provider. We have started recommending you to our friends in Singapore. For our future trips, we will definitely look to your website wherever possible. Thank you very much for making all the necessary arrangements. It was an extremely smooth sailing and enjoyable trip. Yours, Grace -Torrance CA

Already recommended you to a few friends. Everything went well. Loved that we only had 5 people in our Machu Picchu tour and that we had the van to ourselves on the trip up to the train. All of the hotels were great. Definitely a great value for the money. I priced the identical trip on my own and didn`t come close on the price. Was impressed with the Machu Picchu excursion in particular especially in the number of people at every point from your companies to ensure everything went smoothly. I`m a pretty independent traveler and don`t particularly like doing group excursions (we rented a car in Cusco and did our own thing in the sacred valley), but I was impressed with the level of service on the one that we did. Thanks for the great experience. All of my friends are jealous and some will be contacting you soon. Brian B. Colorado Springs, CO

Hi, Thank you! We had a great time with everything running like a well oiled machine. Your local tour operator staff were punctual, pleasant and efficient. All hotels were as advertised with helpful and responsive staff and all special room requests were provided. One thing you should know is that the reason I selected your company was because of your website! It is interactive, easy to use and allows you to select your tour with multiple options in days, hotels, flights, transfers and tours and most importantly it provides a running cost total without the need to interact with live customer service personal - WOW! I have already recommended your site to others! Suggestions to improve are to include tour options in the welcome package so that travelers can book locally as well as a city street/area map. Pakaritumpa Hotel - Should consider installing carpets/rubber runners as fellow guests footsteps resonate in the bedrooms because of the hard wood floors. Andrean Wings - Restaurant area was cold at night despite 2 mobile heaters. Breakfast was warm with no heaters. However, dinner was disappointing with mainly microwavable/toaster oven food. Thanks again, Robert A. BURLINGTON, ON - Canada

Thank you for your services. Overall the trip was excellent and the arrangements were all of very high quality. As for hotels the Casa Andina in Lima was excellent, as was the Hatun Inti in Aguas Calientes. The Pakaritampu in Ollantaytambo had beautiful rooms, although the food in the restaurant was just Ok. The Andean Wings hotel was lovely - great rooms, great service and good food, but a bit noisy at night. All the transfers worked well and your local tour operator was amazing - they meet us at every airport and train station and provided excellent service and advice. All the departures of TACA airlines were on time and the trip to Macchu Pichu by Peru Rail was magnificent. I would use your company again if we are traveling to South America, and also your local tour operator. Many thanks Kevin C. TORONTO, ON

We had a terrific time! Machu Picchu was magical, fascinating, peaceful and more than we expected which is saying a lot. Much of our enjoyment of our week long trip through Peru was due to the high quality of the hotels and services that you offer. We traveled on our own without a group (using drivers and cabs), and without any problems at all because we had your excellent site behind us. The Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is a great spot with such accommodating staff. So nice to have this place right next to the site and they have a day room, showers, hot tub, in an orchid garden that you can use if, like us, you have some time to kill before the bus down to Aguas Calientes for the return train. The food there and everywhere else was wonderful.(Quinoa Punch for breakfast, black scallop and other ceviche, tacu tacu, and on and on!). The transfers all went off seamlessly and we much appreciated having someone to guide us through the many connections we made. Abraham, who gave us a tour of Machu Picchu, was passionate, informative, and caring. Francisco, the driver who took us to and from the airport in Lima, gave us terrific tips on restaurants and sites. Our guide and driver in the Sacred Valley were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and went the extra mile. The one day that I had an altitude sickness headache the staff at the lovely Sonesta Posadas in Yucay immediately helped me and brought some oxygen to my room. I was out touring Moray and Maras again soon after that. I loved being able to plan my trip on your website. The ability to research hotels and see where they are and to pick and choose among so many was priceless. We`ll be using your website again and have already told many of our friends about how good your site is.

We had a great trip. Thank you. The local agency, did a fabulous job. The do have excursions that I was looking for...mountain biking and rafting. We did not do rafting (class 4) because I thought we would leave from the Sacred Valley and it actually was on the other side of Cuzco. We went horseback riding instead. It was really rather comforting to see their uniformed personnel. We really liked the medical card too. They were always punctual. Wilfred was our arrival and departure contact. He was wonderful. We also did the mountain bike ride with him. I would have requested him for all. Casa Andina Private Collection was also a highlight. They had a coffee pot in the room for boiling water (coffee/tea) which we used to refill our water bottles. Not all hotels had this. Considering that plastic bottles are a big pollution concern for Peru, this made a lot of sense. Some areas for improvement One of our guides, Al, was ok, but seemed to cut the trips short. Our full-day trip in the Sacred Valley was 6 hours, door-to-door. The day he did the 1/2 day in Cuzco it was 3 hours. It just felt like he had some place to go. And on the full-day, we were required to spend an hour at the market and we don`t shop. An hour was lunch. And we only spent an hour at Ollantaytambo. When we pay for a private tour, I think we should be able to adjust it a bit. We would have preferred to see the Pisac ruins over the market. And we definitely wanted more time in Ollantaytambo. All other excursions were great! Sumaq hotel switched our room on request, which saved that experience. Originally we were put on the 5th floor, in the back. The window looked out to a train track on which people regularly walked. People actually made eye contact with us and smiled. But the biggest problem was the train. The train rattled by every few minutes and ran until 11pm....no way... I would have switched hotels. With half their rooms in the rear, I would recommend you make sure your guests get the front of the hotel. Thank you all so much. Overall...a stellar trip.

Everything was great. All the staff we met down in Peru were so friendly. I would definitely recommend your company. The only suggestion I have is to make it a little more clear regarding the luggage wt for machu picchu, how to pack. We were very nervous about that during the trip because we didn`t know, but everything worked out. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Thank you for a wonderful trip! Everything went incredibly well. The services provided by your local provider were excellent. The hotels were perfect, as well. We will definitely choose your website for our next trip to South America. We have purchased trips with other companies to Europe and Asia, and by far your website provides service that exceeds all others.
