Day 1: Lima You will arrive to Lima: one of the most important and modern cities in South America founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro in 1535. Upon arrival you will be received at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Our representative will give you a documentation kit with detailed program explanation. Overnight in Lima. Day 2: Lima In the afternoon, a trip to the essential Lima, 'The City of Kings' including the most important architectural icons of the city, such as the Main Square, where you can find the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace. Then, you continue with a visit to the San Francisco Convent, an architectonic jewel dating back to the 16th century. On your way to the modern area of the city, you will cross the exclusive district of San Isidro, the new financial heart of the city, to take a look at pre-Inca Huaca Huallamarca. Finally, you conclude the circuit in Miraflores, where you will visit the 'Parque del Amor' (Love Park) an excellent spot to enjoy a great view of the Pacific Ocean. Overnight in Lima. Day 3: Cuzco After being picked up from the hotel in Lima and taken to the airport, embark your flight from Lima into the Capital of the Inca Empire - Cuzco. Upon arrival to Cuzco you will be received at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the morning is free to rest and get acclimatized to the altitude. In the afternoon, you will visit the Imperial City, living example of the mixture of the Andean and Spanish cultures. You start the trip visiting the Santo Domingo Convent, built over the Koricancha, an ancient Inca palace and main worship center of the Sun God. Later, you will stop at the Main Square, where you can find the Cathedral and the beautiful Church of La Compania. Going on with the tour, you will visit the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, imposing sample of military Inca architecture which domains the city. Then you will continue the tour to Kenko, a vast rocky hilltop carved into staircases, holes and channels, probably built to store the chicha (fermented maize beer) used in Inca rituals. And finally, visit the archaeological Inca remains of Tambomachay known as the 'Baths of the Inca'. Overnight in Cuzco. Meals Included: Breakfast at Lima Hotel. |

Day 4: Sacred Valley In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Cuzco and driven towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will stop on the way to have a classic view of the Urubamba valley, with crops dressing the mountains like carpets. You will arrive to the colorful market of Pisac, where you will have free time to interact with the local craftsmen, or to purchase their hand-made souvenirs. You will continue to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch. Finally, you will visit Ollantaytambo, attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels and stone streets, where you will discover the remainings of the only Inca Fortress that allowed incan troops to defeat the spanish conquistadores. Overnight in the Sacred Valley. Meals Included: Breakfast at Cuzco Hotel and Lunch during Sacred Valley tour. |

Day 5: MachuPicchu You will wake up very early in the morning for a transfer from your Sacred Valley hotel to the Ollanta Train Station. You will board the Expedition Train to enjoy a 2-hour journey passing through lush, green fields and colorful villages in the foothills of the Andes. Final train destination is Aguas Calientes, the little town with an elevation of 6,700 ft., located at the bottom of MachuPicchu Mountain. Your tour guide will walk with you to the bus stop (next door to the train station). Then A 20 minute bus ride takes you to the top of the mountain, where you will find the entrance to the marvelous citadel, an awe-inspiring sight, MachuPicchu. It will be an unforgettable experience, where a professional tour guide will transmit you the history around this mysterious and charming place. After the tour, descend to Aguas Calientes and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Your ride back to Cuzco will consist on the return train ride to Ollanta onboard the Expedition and a ground transfer from Ollanta train station to your hotel in Cuzco. Overnight in Cuzco. Meals Included: Breakfast at Sacred Valley Hotel and Lunch after MachuPicchu tour. |

Day 6: Cuzco At the scheduled time, you will be transfered to the airport in Cuzco to take the flight to Lima. Upon arrival, you wiill take the connection with your international departure flight. Meals Included: Breakfast at Cuzco Hotel. |
