Our vacation to Peru was AMAZING! All things planned by your company were planned down to the littlest detail! We just showed up and everything was done for us. In particular, I would like to thank Jose (our Cuzco guide) and Percy (our Macchu Picchu tourguide) for their great jobs!
Thanks again!

We had an incredible vacation that will be memorable forever.

The hotels were all good but the most exceptional was the Sumaq Hotel. It is truly a small paradise before and after the descent to Machu Picchu. There was nothing to complain about. It was way above our expectations.

Your local tour operator`s staff were very professional, punctual, and alert of our needs. Ruben, our guide for Machu Picchu was so enjoyable!! Manuel, the meeting rep in Cuzco, and Fernando, the meeting rep in Aguas Calientes, were very helpful in making adjustments to our itinerary when we had a family situation. We are most appreciative to all!

We would definitely return to use the website in the future ... and will recommend them to others

I had a great time visiting Peru. I thought the trip was well planned and executed. Although I would have liked to start the Machu Pichu trip earlier in the day and not have to rush to leave the site at the end of the day.
The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. I would definitely repeat the trip and bring some extra friends next time.
Thanks

We had the best time in Peru! Thank you for tending to all of the necessary arrangements to make this dream of seeing Machu Picchu become a reality.Everything went smoothly. Taca Airline is very nice with impeccable service. The transfer in San Salvador was extremely easy....got off one plane...met by people telling you which gate to go to for the next flight, which was all nearby in a very clean and modern area and then got on the next plane.Easy! We did not have to do anything with immigration/ customs.Local Tour did a great job of transferring us to our destinations for they were punctual and knowledgeable. When a small miscommunication did occur with our pick-up from the train station...they solved it within 5 minutes - which showed to me a great networking system is in place for such occurrences. Our accommodations were also very nice for they had balconies overlooking the streets from which we could observe the local atmosphere- which is what we especially enjoy. The food was delicious and we ate in a variety of great places! Of course, the crowning jewel for this trip was seeing Machu Picchu itself.My- how spectacular that is!Our guide was most informative and one could tell that he was very proud of it and wants it to be perserved for generations to come to be able to enjoy it also.As you can most likely tell....we loved this trip!
We most definitely will use your service again (going to Nicaragua with my brother in December using your agency) and am glad to see that at the bottom of this e-mail is a message that informs us that you also have other travel sights for vacations around the world.Unfortunately, they would not open to the sites mentioned and am not sure if it is the fault of this e-mail or my computer.Thank you again for your services!

Our Peru vacation was wonderful ? everything we hoped for and expected. Thanks Melissa Negri for setting it all up for us. The folks at Condor Travel in Peru were outstanding (professional, pleasant, helped us make all the transfers, good tour guides, etc.). They also helped with suggestions for things to do while there ? all of which turned out well.

Specific comments.

Hotels:
Mariel Hotel (Lima) ? OK for what it is ? a place to stay one night before going to Cuzco. Good location. Would probably not stay there for an extended period of time ? but why spend a lot of $$ for that first day ? it served its purpose.

Monestario Hotel (Cuzco) ? a great hotel and experience. Some of the comments I read on Trip Advisor before going hinted that the staff was not up to the ?price? of the hotel ? that was not our experience. They were very good, helpful, etc. Only one small complaint (only an issue on the last night there). I think our room was under one of the kitchens ? we heard folks walking around on the first two nights, but it seemed to stop by the time we went to bed. On the night we had to get up the next morning at 4:30am to go to Machu Picchu, they were working in that room all night ? and we had a hard time sleeping. Had we been planning on coming back to this hotel, I would have asked for another room, but it was only a problem that one time. Thoroughly enjoyed the hotel otherwise.

Sumaq Hotel (Aquas Caliente) ? another great hotel ? fantastic service ? they let us stay in the room past check out time the next day since our train was not until the evening. My wife used the spa and was very pleased.

Novetel Hotel (Cuzco) ? a very nice hotel ? no complaints ? very good service, pleasant, professional, etc. If I were to go back to Cuzco, would probably consider this hotel for the whole stay ? a very nice facility, well-located, and less expensive than Monestario.

Casa Andina Central Miraflores (Lima) ? another good option for Lima ? located close to the ?tourist? market (as was Mariel) and a short walk to the water ? but nicer than Mariel. Would consider this for Lima again if staying for a few days.

Transfers and Transportation:
All transfer went fine ? all the Condor folks were very good. A little confusion on the last day back to the Lima airport ? but due to construction in front of the hotel and the van was actually parked a block away ? just a little miscommunication ? no problem.

The tours we booked through Latin Destination/Condor were wonderful (Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu) ? the tour guides were great and we enjoyed both very much.

One problem ? although it worked out in the end. Our flight from Cuzco to Lima on LAN Peru was booked ? then changed (by LAN Peru) before we left. The only indication I got was that the time had changed ? no problem, just had to get to the airport a little earlier. But what they did not indicate in the email that told me of the change was that my seats had also changed ? found that out when I got my boarding pass. Instead of being in the front of the plane (more leg room and in an aisle seat), the two ?new? seats were in the back (less leg room) and were a window and center seat. My wife convinced the attendant to move me up (I am 6 feet 6 inches tall), while she stayed in the back. The only real transportation glitch.

Website:
The LD website was very helpful ? but Melissa Negri helped a great deal with putting the package together ? she did a great job for us. I like a personal touch ? didn?t want to just book online without talking it out with someone ? had lots of questions ? she was very helpful.

I would recommend LD to others looking to travel to Peru.

We were very happy with the staff. They were there when we wanted or needed them, and not when we wanted to go it alone.

All the connections were on time and arranged. This gave us the freedom to enjoy Peru without worry about transportation.

The hotels were as we expected, except for the one in Machu Picchu. You made us change from Hatuchay Tower
to Machu Picchu Inn at more money. The other couple we were traveling with was at Hatuchay Tower. They had
both breakfast and dinner included, we had to buy dinner.

Except for the one thing, we were very happy.

I have never been more pleased with a trip before. The hotels were great and the company in charge of the transfers and tours was amazing. They were always at the airport even when our flights were delayed by hours, they found our lost luggage, and gave us lots of great general advice about getting around Peru. It was a great trip. I also loved latin destinations websited when I was planning the trip. It was very easy to set up the trip exactly as I wanted it with the hotels and activities I wanted. Thank you!! I will definitely recommend!
