Porto
de Galinhas is one of the nicest beach destinations in all the northeast.
Its charm is a result of both natural attributes and intelligent
development. Unlike so many beaches in Brazil, development
in Porto de Galinhas has been kept resolutely small scale.
There are no high-rises, just small pousadas and a few low-rise
hotels. The town of Porto de Galinhas boasts perhaps four
streets: enough for a dozen restaurants, a bank, some surf
shops, and a beachside bar or two. Colorful jangadas (one-sail
fishing rafts) come and go all day, and the beachside restaurants
and cafes are packed with people soaking up rays. |

Cabo
de Santo Agostinho is a true paradise of hot weather,
warm waters, rocks and natural pools, one of the best beach
resorts in Brazil. Access is by airplane from Recife
or by car. |
