DAVID

David:
David is Panama's third largest city, capital of Chiriquí Province, and the center of a rich agricultural region. It has plenty of places to stay and eat. It is mostly used as a base to visit Boquete or Volcán, near the Parque Nacional Volcán Baru and the islands in the Golfo de Chiriquí.

David is about halfway between San Jose (Costa Rica) and Panama City -about seven hours by road from either place. While David's climate tends to be hot, it is much cooler at the higher elevations around Volcan Baru, just a short distance away. It offers the typical services of a city: 12 Banks, 5 Rooms of Cinema, 1 Bolera, 4 Hospitals, Airport and Puerto Maritimo.
