M/V Explorer II Description:

The M/V Explorer II was built in 1990 and is a 293.14 feet Ocean-going cruise ship. Navigating the Galapagos Islands at a speed of 17 knots, the Explorer II enables passengers to see more of Galapagos in less time. The ship also provides all the facilities and services to make the cruise enjoyable and comfortable. The ship has a capacity for 105 passengers, but due to the National park regulations, it only carries 100 passengers. It has 53 air conditioned outside suites, each one with private bathroom and a small sitting area. All exterior suites, no cabins on board, and, most important, all Suites have the same look, the difference in the price is the deck were the Suite is located. All have convertible double beds and an extra sofa bed for triple configurations. Amenities in every Suite include TV, VHS, mini bar, and sitting area, walking closets in some cases, panoramic windows, portholes only in the Magellan Deck. Features aboard include Jacuzzi, solarium, spacious dining room, 24-hour self service Coffee Station, an electronic elevator, large conference room, lounge, and three bar areas with music, boutique and reading room. Six naturalist guides aboard lead daily shore excursions and offer nightly briefings to prepare passengers for the islands to be visited the next day. Dining aboard consists of both international and Ecuadorian specialties. New Club area: Integrated area located at the Marco Polo deck where our guests will find a bar that is open during the nights with a karaoke system including to flat screens.New view of the restaurant:Located at the Magellan deck with new tapestry, carpets, curtains and renewed furniture making a really pleasant environment.

The Galapagos Explorer II is fully equipped to minimize possible impacts on the Archipelago All soaps, detergents and shampoos used on board are biodegradable Black and grey waters are treated appropriately. The residual water is filtered and purified with ozone. Water is produced on board utilizing a desalinisation plant by reverse osmosis.

12 De Luxe Suites on Erickson Deck ? (Suites No. 507, 508, 509, 510, 511, 512, 514, 515, 516, 517, 518, 519) - they feature three picture windows and two full-length wardrobes. Average suites size: 215 ft2/19.97 m2.
13 Premium Suites on Marco Polo Deck ? (Suites No. 420, 421, 422, 423, 424, 425, 426, 427, 428, 429, 430, 431, 433) - They feature three picture windows and two full-length wardrobes. Average suites size - 235 ft2/21.83 m2.
12 Classic Suites on Columbus Deck ? (Suites No. 334, 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 340, 341, 342, 343, 344, 345)- They come with three large windows. Average suites size - 250 ft2/23.23 m2.
