BARTOLOME ISLAND

This is a little and extremely arid island, but one of the favorite sites for visitors for its beautiful beach and magnificent bay with clear and calm waters. You can climb shortly to the top of Bartolome to observe the stunning volcanic view, the Pinnacle Rock and several islands around. A small penguin colony inhabits the island, and on the south beach, sharks are usually spotted. Bartolome Island is one of the best places to take pictures of penguins, even though photographing penguins is never easy because you have to do it aboard the dinghy.

Excellent snorkeling from the beach and around Pinnacle Rock, with good possibility of swimming accompanied by penguins. You can also scuba dive at Cousins Islet, which is very close.
